More than a quarter of a century later, the work of the Fulton Committee on the Civil Service has long since receded into history. Indeed, the present observer has had the opportunity to write the history of the Fulton Committee itself from the original documents. The Fulton County Superior Court is a trial court of general jurisdiction. The court has exclusive, constitutional authority over felony cases, prosecuted by the District Attorney's Office, regarding title to land, equity, declaratory judgments, habeas corpus, mandamus, prohibition, adoptions, and Clerk's office prides itself in providing exceptional service to all of it's clientele. Fulton County is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners who are elected to four-year terms. Six of the members are district commissioners, and the Chairman is At-Large, representing all of Fulton County.
